WILL obtains permission from the local authorities of the community, village, school or church to drill the water well. A written memorandum of understanding is agreed upon and signed between WILL and the local authorities. The beneficiaries are responsible for contributing 2% of the total cost. This can be in the form of labor, food for workers, shelter for our on site team, etc. This builds a feeling of project ownership among the people. The beneficiaries are responsible for repairing the water well, which creates sustainability. The water well belongs to the people of the community and WILL empowers them to implement WASH (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene) solutions to transform their communities.

100% of our donations go directly to providing water access, drilling of water wells, sanitation and hygiene. All donations are tax deductable and greatly appreciated. WILL believes in local ownership of community water wells for sustainability. Clean water is essential for the development of social, economic and health systems. Resources spent on treatment of water borne diseases could be invested in other community programs. WILL encourages community maintenance of their new clean water source so that it will be available for future use.

WILL's volunteers are respected, trustworthy people from their communities. WILL's board of directors ensures all funds are accounted for and support the achievement of our mission and vision. WILL has both internal and external audits and these are available upon request.
